Yes I would certainly write a testimonial concerning your company’s excellent work at our house. Over a period of a few months this involved complete refurbishment of a kitchen, bathroom, downstairs cloakroom and the rebuilding of a heating boiler cupboard. It is very rare nowadays that you can find a good builder who you can totally trust - and if you find one, I suppose you should encourage other people to use them – except my inclination is to keep him to myself. So, if I really must, here goes: Firstly, it is of f tremendous importance to me as a client to feel that I am not being taken advantage of. Let me say therefore that your estimate of the cost of work including labour, materials, and accessories was accurate. Only two minor exceptions occurred when the costs of light fittings and extraction fans had increased due to external factors beyond your control. However, this was more than offset by the savings made in taking your advice on kitchen units and electrical goods. The other factor that I think is important was your word. During four months of work you never let me down. If you said that the work would start at 8 am tomorrow then that is when you would arrive. If there is one negative it is this – you will not believe the amount of coffee that this man can get through in a day! Seriously however, I have no hesitation in recommending Douglas Porter to anyone. He takes professional pride in his work and is always willing to offer sound advice on the minutest detail.
